Spring Food & Drink Festival

This Spring Sussex is celebrating! The Brighton & Hove Food & Drink Spring Harvest Festival returns 1-6 April and showcases all the fantastic food, drink and hospitality Brighton and the surrounding area of Sussex has to offer.

If live entertainment is your thing book yourself a ticket for the Spring Swing at the Observatory Science Centre on 25 April. The 'Surgeons of Swing' will be entertaining the audience with a wonderful evening of live music and dancing. Booking essential.  


Easter events

Bateman's Easter Trail

Bateman’s Cadbury Easter Trail takes place 27 March-12 April with a Spring Birdspotter Trail to explore; spot the nests and work out who laid them for a prize of a Cadbury Egg Head!

The popular Easter Eggspress at Eastbourne Miniature Steam Railway is 5 April and will host some great Easter fun for all the family.

An Easter Fiesta takes place at the Llama Park on 5 & 6 April with a craft fair, llama walks and live music. 

Sussex Wildlife Trust

Even more Easter events in Sussex... 

An Easter Adventure Quest takes place at Battle Abbey over the Easter weekend (3-6 April). Chocolate rewards are up for grabs if you can crack the clues on this challenging quest. 

The Horsham Piazza Italia Fortnight is now running until 12 April. Loads of activities and promotions are happening including Horsham's Great Big Bunny Hunt! 

A Spring Special family event at Seven Sisters Country Park takes place on 30 March with great family activities involving eggs paint and glue! 

Lambing Season

With Spring just around the corner it means that very soon there will be some new family members to meet. Take a look below to see when and where! 

Gaston Farm, Slindon, opens up every year for Open Lambing (21 March-19 April) and Open Shearing (28-31 May). A great opportunity to see lambs being born, have a cuddle and see some live shearing demonstrations. On top of all that there are also free tractor and trailer rides, sheepdog trials and a chicks and ducklings handling area. 

Seven Sisters Sheep Centre nestled in the beautiful South Downs National Park opens for a lambing Spring programme with daily bottle feeding opportunities 7 March-5 May. Make sure you visit again the Summer months with sheep shearing and tractor rides on the agenda!

Lambing time at Coombes Farm in Lancing begins from 7 March-12 April this year. With over 800 ewes lambing and 80 cows calving you might just catch sight of a birth! Tractor rides are also available with some fantastic views over the weald and out to sea.

Easter Concert

Eastbourne Bandstand

Eastbourne Bandstand opens on Sunday 5 April for the traditional Easter Concert. Celebrate Easter with your loved ones and enjoy entertainment from the 'Eastbourne Silver Band'. Don't forget this is a free event with doors open from 2.30pm.
